core banking software. It is a complete turnkey solution for data processing in banks
that is used by over 40 community banks in 15 states nationwide. From end to end its

Designed for speed and lower total cost of ownership
Cardinal/400™ runs faster and more efficiently on smaller, less costly hardware compared
to other core banking systems. This is because Cardinal/400™ was written to run on the
IBM AS/400 hardware platform in the programming language (called ILE-RPG) that is native
to that platform. Cardinal/400™ takes fewer programming commands and computer cycles to
perform a task compared to software trying to emulate the native code of the IBM AS/400.

We chose the IBM AS/400 hardware platform for Cardinal/400™ because IBM has over 700,000
installations of IBM AS/400s around the globe, demonstrating the continued support,
growth and commitment by IBM to the IBM AS/400 family of products. IBM AS/400s are
extremely stable, with a documented uptime of over 99.99%. It is also the most secure
system available. No IBM AS/400 has ever been breached.
You decide what ancillary systems to use
Cardinal/400™ offers exceptional flexibility. For example, with Cardinal/400™ you are not required to
use prescribed ancillary systems or partners. Cardinal/400™ is browser-based so Cardinal Software can
efficiently integrate your choice of non-core functions such as ATM systems, platforms and other systems
with our core system.
Cardinal/400™ grows with you
Since Cardinal/400™ is delivered to the desktop through a browser, it is extremely
easy to deploy and maintain even as your bank grows and requires new functionality.
As you require new functionality you can integrate additional ancillary systems and
easily incorporate information from those new systems in the same window.
Works with today's familiar desktop applications
Being browser-based, Cardinal/400™ also integrates with all of the native PC desktop
functions such as e-mail and Microsoft Word. This means that any communications going
to a customer such as notices, letters and marketing campaigns can be customized so
that they reflect the style and branding of your institution.
Unmatched flexibility to conform to your needs
Cardinal/400™ also has a highly adaptable menu system that makes it easy for banks
to create customized menus that address the unique requirements of each employee's job
function. Cardinal/400™ offers extremely flexible and extensive ad hoc reporting
capabilities using popular report generators such as Crystal Report and Query as well
as other report generators. Cardinal/400™ trancodes are user defined so a bank can
retain its current trancodes, as well as all internal documents (G/L, Teller, etc.)
and external documents (customer coupons). This means bank personnel only need to
become acclimated with new screens and reports, so less training is required to get
personnel up and running on the new system.

The same Cardinal/400™ software is offered in an in-house environment or in a data
left environment through our sister company Group Data Services. Group Data Services has
data lefts in Parsons, Tennessee, and in Little Rock, Arkansas. Either way, Cardinal/400™
