conversions differently, eliminating the pain and
risk from the conversion process so that our customers
can take action and feel confident about moving
to a better core banking system.
Cardinal Software uses a unique approach to ensure
the conversion process is smooth. We start by sending
a conversion team to your bank to conduct conversion
data gathering. Other core system providers begin
their conversion process by sending an exhaustive
written questionnaire that must be completed by
bank personnel and sent back to the provider. This
leaves room for problems if questions aren’t
interpreted and answered properly or details are
overlooked. Our conversion team members are former
bankers so they know how to ask the right questions
to truly understand your bank and its system requirements
before we begin planning your conversion.
The amount of planning that Cardinal Software does
before actually converting your bank is another
reason our conversions are so seamless and pain-free.
We take an average of 3 months from the time a bank
decides to implement Cardinal/400™ to the
day your bank goes live on the system. Our conversion
teams typically consist of 3 to 7 people depending
on the size of your bank. We place at least one
conversion team member at each bank location for
a conversion.
Another way Cardinal Software makes conversion
a pleasant process is by adapting our system and
services to your bank rather than requiring your
bank to conform to our system. For example, our
system utilizes your current trancodes, so we do
not have to do anything with your trancodes,
change any internal documents or change any of your
proof equipment. This means we can convert your
bank long before conversion day. We put your data
on our training system, convert it, review it, clean
it up and reconvert it - repeating the process over
and over to ensure it is correct. Because all of
your conversion files are on our training computer,
Cardinal Software trains your staff on your data,
with your customers, using your trancodes. This
makes it easier for your staff to learn the new
system and allows us to verify your converted data
while we train those who know it best. By the time
we reach your conversion day we know your conversion
will work seamlessly because we have already converted
and reviewed your data on our system multiple times.
